People often wonder what will last, especially in uncertain times. What will last when so much is defined by change? It is true that the development of new things (usually new tech- nologies) promises solutions for current and future problems. And yet if the future, by definition, is shaped by change in the present, how can anything last or keep its value for any length of time?
